Strongman 2014

Our charity Strongman event is back! On Sunday 28th September, starting at 12pm, you will get to see pure strength put to the test, featuring a MASSIVE 9 tonne truck pull! £20 per person to enter, and all spectators are free.

This is going to be yet another great day out for all the family, with BBQ, music, face painting, bouncy castle and competitions to win some great prizes!

We have two categories - Every participant will be weighed in on day of the event, and placed in either the over 90kg or under 90kg category

Events Under 90kg Over 90kg
Famer Medley: over 10m track Famers Walk - 140kg total 2x lengths - Tire flips 5 - Drag 140kg Famers Walk - 160kg total 2x lengths - Tire flips 5 - Drag 200kg
Log Press: Competitors compete against each other in rounds, with each round getting heavier until there is a winner or a tie break. 50kg going up in 5kgs each round 70kg going up in 5kgs each round
Car Deadlift: Competitors compete against each other in rounds, with each round getting heavier until the there is a winner or a tie break. Car Deadlift will start at 150kg approx, and go up buy 20kg each round. Due to the neutral grip and high start point of a car deadlift, it is easier than a conventional deadlift Car Deadlift will start at 170kg approx, and go up buy 20kg each round. Hammer Hold: 2 competitors to hold out weighted hammers at arms length to their side, for the longest time 9kg hammers 14kg hammers
Truck Pull: The truck pull will be done with a harness and a fixed rope to pull. The distance will be 15m approx 9 tons approx - due to the truck being a set weight, we cannot vary the weight 9 tons approx - due to the truck being a set weight, we cannot vary the weight
